Organisers

Raena Jackson Armitage

Raena modestly describes herself as a  pixel pusher, keyboard basher, e-bike pedaller and union boofhead.  She uses her extensive web experience to create meaningful and beautiful web content and excels at bringing people together to make the web a better place.

She believes WordPress is even more awesome than her e-bike. So awesome in fact she wrote not one but two books about it.

Jeffry Ghazally

Jeff is a seasoned developer with experience in many fields but currently mostly focused on Front-end development. When he is not making insanely useful and pretty things on the web he likes to go for long runs around the country (when his young son lets him). Jeff thinks WordPress is the bee’s knees and has been an avid champion of the local WordPress community.

Curdin Krummenacher

Curdin likes to use code to create useful things. You can generally find him working for cultural or public good organisations and software projects, which is why he likes WordPress.

An avid user since 2005 and more recently a contributer to WordPress and its community he thinks it’s a splendid tool that allows most anyone to publish and have a voice.

Maria Skatova

Maria has an extensive background in Comms and Public Health projects, but WordPress is her true love since version 2.7.

She started using WordPress for a hobby website, and slowly became a developer, then WordCamp Auckland speaker and WordPress meetup co-organizer.  Maria hopes WordCamp Wellington will be legen… wait for it, wait for it …dary. Legendary.

Hania Tarabishy

Hania is a passionate, self-motivated and creative graphic designer with more than 7 years’ experience in a variety of exciting projects for companies such as Nokia and Samsung and other local clients in Syria.

She arrived with her family to New Zealand last year and loves being in Wellington. She was infected by the WordPress bug by the lovely people of WordCamp Wellington and is excited about the possibilities it gives her as a graphic designer and how it offers alternative solutions to do a better job.
